Are there any disadvantages for using GV?
 

I don't have a real phone number，so I thought of GV..


Are there any disadvantages for using GV? If I register with the real number first and then change to GV, will there be any problems? The only thing I can think of is that paypal can link these accounts together

You can go out and get a real phone tho. It's safer

Dont want to register too many phone numbers.. Few years ago I have many phone numbers under my name.. But I lost the numbers... Now I dont want that I have too much phone numbers registered under my name...

you can use Google Voice on PP without a problem until your account is limited, then you may have some problems.

Paypal overall does not like VOIP numbers in general, and they can tell it is voip because of the security software they use.

The other problem (although Rarer) with GV is the numbers they use get re-cycled - so if the number has ever been used on paypal before and linked to a limited or closed account your account will now be linked

You can just buy a phone without using your name... it's not hard.

In Europe we all must registered with real name with ID vertification. Where can I buy phone without using my name?

You are right... but I have here some GV numbers few years.. they are maybe safe...
