paypal does not allow me to add banks to my account
 

When i add bank to my account, the error say "sorry, we can’t link your bank account right now." How can i fix that ?

the paypal account is likely flagged already, happened to me dozens of times, its not a matter of the bank account

it a security flag that happening recently from past few weeks on any usa bank,
talk with live chat they will help you clear the flag from system than you can add

just click on message center on the top side or open it from help menu,once you are in message center type agent and leave a message

Yes, it's been going on now for 2 - 3 months. Be ready also as most times they will put a limitation on the account, but it's just a limitation that requires you to submit id document. The weird thing is, they do not send you a limitation email, you only are aware once you loginto your account that the account is limited.

The main problem now is that it is difficult to actually get to interact with a customer service agent that will clear this flag - the chat is delayed sometimes for days and often they will try and call you back which is also a problem.

Most of the time the stupid agent will give you this as a solution "clear your cookies, wait 24 - 48 hours, then try again" lol which has yet to work for me. There is for sure however a security trigger that happens if you attempt and fail to attach the bank which it appears only a customer service agent can reset.

Also, this is true of virtually all banks at the moment, whether attempting the instant verification or the old enter routing number/bank account and waiting for the 2 small deposits.

not working.

I email them about issue, they asked me to contact support via chat which is not available in this account! it's seems some account can't have chat with support!
i check another account same time and there is "message us" option.

funny things is my account permitly limited and I waited more than 6 months and received email allow me to withdrawal but still they don't let me to add any bank or card.

Yeah, it's ****ed up - the only think I can think of is to find a credit/debit card that allows for instant withdrawal to it. On all of the accounts that didn't allow me to add a bank, I could always add a card.

Usualy they asking info about your account(like last 4 numbers your cc, etc) to verify it's realy you.

finally I can add my bank to stealth Paypal account after a month failed with "sorry we can't link your bank right now". Lol.

I just finished chatting with a PP's agent and he helped me remove some issues on my account.

first, he sends me a security code to my number and I give it to him to verify its me
then he move forward to check on my account why it got blocked
finally he removed that issue and boom, it’s done.

Below is the reason why my PP account got blocked. Just spend your time to chat with an agent, if you failed with one, try to contact with another and you will be successful added your bank to PP.

BTW, I'm using Bank of America and Chase, HMA VPN and Lyca prepaid.

WOW!! Great news. How long did they make you wait in chat before you got a live agent ?

If I understand correctly you attempted to add a bank account before and that is why the account got locked ?

I just got off the phone with a paypal representative. she actually called me on the phone associated with the account. She asked my name, email address, and told me to try to link my bank again. I added it and it told me about the 2 small deposits. she then said "give me one moment I will try to confirm on my end" After a brief moment she apologized and said that I would have to wait for the 2 small deposits. She then asked if I could do her a favor and close out the message online. I clicked contact us, then messages. I typed "thank you [paypal woman's name] you are so helpful and pretty with a nice accent" she laughed (while still on the phone and thanked me for the last thing I typed) and I did the survey after you close the message and gave her all the best score and left a good review. I then proceeded to add a second bank account and now I'm waiting for the 2 small deposits to show on that one as well.

I waited for about 10 mins and an agent responsed me real quick. But I think it’s depends.
Actually I tried to add Chase first, then I added Bank of America but both got error. I think that was the reason PP flagged on my account and didn’t let me link the bank with.

was the number u used to register the paypal? Or brand new number u give it to him in the chat?

I used the original number register with Paypal

I started with ‘Add bank’ category, then type my account & routing number, it was an error when verifying. Then type ‘talk to agent’. System will connect you with an agent after that.
