Paypal Asking asking to add a new phone number

Hi, Its regarding my genuine paypal account. It has my google voice number. Now paypal asking to add a new phone number. I am a US citizen. But now living in another country. So is there any way to buy a pre paid phone under my name and activate it online and check text messages online ?

yes, you can do that. you'll want to add as a 2nd phonem then change that phone number to primary a week later.

Don't just delete your regular number

Text messages online - why specifically so? Why not just go for tracfone and physical sim use?
