AU PayPal reporting income tax to Australian Taxation concern?
 

Hi,

I’m new.
I have set up a stealth eBay & PayPal (Australian)
I did the deposit verification with a new bank account under my name (Might have been a mistake but it hasn’t cause an issue- yet)
PayPal does not allow you to hold/use a balance whatsoever until you verify your identity. I am going to use a creative utility bill- I have stopped there as my concern is
I’m aware that PayPal shares information with the ATO (Australian Tax) once you reach a threshold (unsure of amount) when the ATO receives this information, with an identity that does not exist could they go back to PayPal and request my bank details to obtain my real identity- to chase up tax payments? Would that then lead me into trouble using creative utility bills ect?


Any advice/feedback/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
