PayPal Subscription vs Recurring Payments

I have a SEO/Social Media Marketing agency, and I only do subscription-based plan, my packages range from $150 to $1200/month.

Would you recommend using Subscription or Recurring Payments for that and why? And is there any other gateway that provides such features better/safer than PayPal?
