Asking about Tax payer ID status
 

I have 2 accounts get notification about tax payer id in last year. Few days ago i came back and check but in my paypal still have notification about tax payer id but right now i check my paypal, the message about tax payer id still there but no more notification(on ring button). Is that i can use that paypal again ? Are they just remove tax payer request from my account ?

It used to reset every year but as far as I know it does not anymore. Chances are if you tried to send an invoice or receive a payment on those accounts they would fail.

Yea i just waited from January and i though it wont reset but now i dont see notification anymore so idk =}

If you went over 200 transactions last year and got your account tax-limited then it will stay tax limited even though the notification goes away with the new year.

If you stayed under 200 and were just at the point where they were asking for your tax ID but had not yet limited you, then you can continue using the account this year.

Yes i stayed under 200 (around 160) and they asked me twice about tax ID

You should be good to take in less than 200 this year.



In 2022 the rules are changing and you probably won't be able to use that account at all without a tax ID.

Oh i didnt know that. Thank you about your infomation. But i heard about ebay doesnt need paypal to sell items anymore. They send me an email and tell me to add ssn to ebay account.

Yeah, eBay managed payments is a thing now. Paypal is a lot easier to get along with though.
