Link 2 debit cards with the same bank account to different Paypal accounts?
 

I have 2 VISA debit cards with the same bank account. Is it safe to link them to different Paypal accounts?




And can Paypal see their bank address? This would be a problem since both cards should have same address as the bank account.

Paypal cannot see the address by default - it can only see what you provided on their platform.

If the debit card numbers are completely different, I don't see any issue with using them on different pp accounts

Thanks for the reply, just want to be sure. I've seen many contradictory statements about this.

Do I still need to match the address numbers for AVS check?

Try this, change the address at the bank on one, or just use a different address when you sign up for PP but keep using the same zip code.

That was my plan. Today I opened online banking hoping I could change the address from there, but there is no such option. It doesn't even show the address anywhere.

So I will try with the Paypal address now. Do you think its necessary to open a new Paypal or can I just change the info of an existing aged Paypal?

I'm asking because I think I've read somewhere its a huge flag to change registration info. My accounts are about 3 years old now.

Paypal would not allow a bank account to be linked to more than 1 Paypal account.
Now you said you have 2 bank debit cards which access 1 bank account,how did you end up with 2 debit cards,when you apply for them,do you have to give them an address?

Sure, just like the other fellow pointed out, paypal that have access to what is happening from the end of your local bank because most bank donot see paypal as a reputable finacial organization.

They can only work with the info's which you have submitted to them. Becareful, while submitting multiple information because they have tools to perform additional verification.

There is no problem using same visa & bank on same paypal account. i think have done some similar in the past. Used one prepaid mastercard with iban to open two different paypal account.

Mine is more risky but, paypal accept such.

If you want to add two different cards of the same bank, I think it is not possible as it also asks for ssn and you can't use the same ssn at the time of the verification process.

huh? You can add 2 different cards to 2 PP accounts. DOesn't matter if it's from the same bank.

And you don't ever use SSN or offer PP SSN

The 2 Paypal accounts are already open,he would not be asked for SSN for linking a bank debit card,only when he wants to spend or send money .
