Can't use Vanilla Gift Card to pay eBay fees

Hi

Im having trouble using my vanilla gift card to pay for my eBay fees

it is giving me this error

"There seems to be a problem with the payment method you are using. Please try again using another payment method"

is anyone else coming across this issue?
