| aspkin | 05-23-2021 07:37 AM | Re: USA: Coinbase added Paypal as deposit option Hmm, it says by attached bank account or debit card.
It does not mention PayPal funds in account.
I suppose it's a step in the right direction but it could also be limited to the above. |
| agent006140 | 05-23-2021 07:49 AM | Re: USA: Coinbase added Paypal as deposit option yes,it said -
After you log in, you can select or add a debit card or bank account linked to your PayPal account.
-------------------------
up to $25,000 of your own money in your bank account,no credit card.
Your source of paypal fund can come from selling some thing which could result in refund, chargeback or from ??source,Paypal does not want to take that risk.
also Paypal would want to make sure it is your bank account ,better have it verified 100% |

| agent006140 | 05-23-2021 08:20 AM | Re: USA: Coinbase added Paypal as deposit option question-
when you sell your crypto coins, can you have the sales proceeds deposited in your Paypal account? |
| phaz0rz | 05-23-2021 09:27 AM | Re: USA: Coinbase added Paypal as deposit option There is zero benefit to the stealth community from this. You have to fully dox yourself to do anything with coinbase and that's not going to fly with stealth accounts. |

| agent006140 | 05-23-2021 01:39 PM | Re: USA: Coinbase added Paypal as deposit option your paypal account info has to agree with your coinbase info.
Then IRS wants Coinbase to surrender all the buy and selling activities of its members. |

| agent006140 | 05-24-2021 12:47 PM | Re: USA: Coinbase added Paypal as deposit option No,do you think Paypal is going to come out and say-you cant use your Paypal fund because there could be chargeback, reversal,??
You can always transfer your PAYPAL FUND TO YOUr bank account . |
| bjammin | 05-24-2021 12:56 PM | Re: USA: Coinbase added Paypal as deposit option When you transfer from US paypal to bank no ssn is required
When you send funds from US paypal to other sights for purchase, a ssn is required. I am sure if paypal was to allow you to buy from coinbase, that ssn would still be needed.
And as greebean said, I would not trust coinbase. They are the paypal of crypto platform |
| agent006140 | 05-24-2021 01:04 PM | Re: USA: Coinbase added Paypal as deposit option when you sell your Bitcoin, does Coinbase or others deposit your fiat fund in your paypal acount?
how does it work when it comes to issuing 1099K,is that payment considered sale ,if so,then Paypal could send you a 1099K,but then what about coinbase??it also have to report your activities to IRS? |

| raAlfa | 05-24-2021 09:13 PM | Re: USA: Coinbase added Paypal as deposit option The Coinbase faq mentions that you need a valid funding source, but doesn't say that funds stored in Paypal cannot be used. It's probably working the same way as if you pay something, ie. your preferred payment method is used but funds stored in th account are used first. I mean, it is fresh news and people did not adapt it yet. Probably already yt videos out there, didn't check yet. https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbas...hod/paypal-faq
They say they gonna make it available in more countries, .. let's see if and when this happens. Anyway, that's big, probably going to make a stalth US+Coinbase soon :thumb: |
| slokor | 05-24-2021 09:41 PM | Re: USA: Coinbase added Paypal as deposit option Paypal and the paypal of crypto (coinbase) working together. Put them both together and youve more than the sum of the part is level of risk involved.
I dont trust either and would NEVER trust either with my money. |
| raAlfa | 05-24-2021 10:03 PM | Re: USA: Coinbase added Paypal as deposit option Imagine people would sell Paypal+Coinbase accounts together, where you could cashout directly instead of those - basically useless - Paypal accounts which you cannot cashout anyway if you don't have a bank account. A dream for people who want easy cashout (well, not yet, as the funding source is not 100% confirmed yet).
By the way, this is a forum about business with Paypal involving money. People not trusting Paypal with money wouldn't be here I guess.
I would love to remove Paypal and replace it with Bitcoin or another decentralized Crypto which cant be held or chargedback. Let's hope crypto becomes adapted more and more as payment system. |

No different when you sell some item accepting PAYPAL,DO you know what is his source of fund? |

No different when you sell some item accepting PAYPAL,DO you know what is his source of fund? | Coinbase and Paypal have a very special deal, very different than a normal merchant accepting Paypal funds, no doubt about it, so it might be that exactly all of those infos are shared.
I am going to experiment on those and will post an info. Might take some time though, Coinbase isn't the easiest for stealth  |

They are the paypal of crypto platform | Im gonna have to call you out for mnore details on CB being shady, Ive never had a problem besides their coin fees. I know they had one hiccup a while back, but they are always straight with me and I get all my coins, I also hold coins in CB.
Customer support issues? Whats the word on the street?
Sorry for off-topic, but I trust CB and I'm wondering why its getting heat here, something I dont know? |
