| Lifeless | 08-07-2021 07:27 AM | Advice on withdrawing from non-US f@ke name PayPal Hey, I'm in need of advice. I created a PP account using a f@ke name and birthdate about 4 years ago. Have used it to sell digital goods and services, and also did some crypt0 exchanges recently. It's got 3 chargebacks(mainly from people who want to keep the products and get their money back) and has never been limited as far as I know.
I've just learnt about the dangers of keeping money in PP's hands. I would like to withdraw most of it ($5k+) but I'm unsure about the best way to proceed and the limitations of having some f@ake info. Should I ask for a name change and provide my real ID? Can I link an international debit card and withdraw from PP directly to it?
Note my account is from Uruguay. |
| justinloz | 08-07-2021 08:14 AM | Re: Advice on withdrawing from non-US f@ke name PayPal You can add a bank account, it is no needed to be the same PP account name, it can be different. |
| phaz0rz | 08-07-2021 08:39 AM | Re: Advice on withdrawing from non-US f@ke name PayPal Yeah.. you should be able to just add a local bank account and then withdraw. |
| agent006140 | 08-07-2021 10:47 AM | you need a local bank account from Uruguay.
what kind of intl debit card?
you can go to Paypal website and find more information,Paypal is not that active in your country. https://www.prexcard.com/paypal
AUP violation has to do with what you sold, not with your account being stealth.
can you send or buy something with your account,
if payments are coming in with no problem, and no dispute or chargeback on past payments, your account should be fine.
you will never know if you do not try,no one can tell you what to do here
if Paypal sends you a check in the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name, would you be able to endorse it and deposit in your local bank account?
or asking a family member t o open a paypal account,Prex account and send them your fund may be an option.
dunno about name change,?
There is another way to get money out is t o claim the person died, then Paypal would want to see death certificate.
One can also change their last name if she gets married or adopted, but they would want to see marriage certificate or adoption paper Quote:

| I actually have that card. I tried to link it to PP through the Prex website but it failed because of the name mismatch(they state on Prex's website that names must match). I'm skeptical it will somehow fail If I try to add it to PayPal directly, either by not recognizing the card or not completing a withdrawal because of some security check. I'm not sure how FinTech works on the back-end.
I haven't tried much because of the fear of getting locked out for 180 days and then PP wiping all my balance claiming AUP violations. |

I mentioned the AUP because I sold some videogame items and did some crypto exchanges, which I believe are both "not acceptable". I'm just trying to withdraw the money without making a blunder. |
Re: Advice on withdrawing from non-US f@ke name PayPal Welcome to the forum OP - all the best as you master stealth :thumb:
When were the 3 chargebacks? |

Should I try to add a card(Physical Mastercard Debit) from the PP UI? even if names don't match- or too risky?
Thank you btw! |

| Lifeless | 08-13-2021 06:29 AM | Re: Advice on withdrawing from non-US f@ke name PayPal So I tried to withdraw and It gave me three options. 1- To a US Bank account, 2- Through the Prex website(requires names to match, tried already), 3- Cheque.
Tried linking both a debit Visa and Mastercard, no option to transfer from balance.
I don't have a US BA and I'm pretty sure it would be diffcult to set one up as a foreigner who has never been to the US. I assume a Cheque will require names to match as well.
I either have contact PP to get my name changed, or make a family member sign up to PP with correct details, send them the money, then have them withdraw it to their card through Prex. I'm afraid both will be problematic... Thoughts? |

| Pandoras_box | 08-15-2021 09:33 AM | Re: Advice on withdrawing from non-US f@ke name PayPal If you ask PayPal to change your name on the account, your account would be limited and you risk losing all your money eventually.
Find another way to get your money out. If your local banks won't accept mismatched names, buy something you can resell for nearly the same value or sell your money off for bitcoins here on the forum.
You'd come off with less than 5k, but you take it like a "chicken coming home to roost" situation seeing how you're only just implementing an exit plan.
Good luck. |

Good luck. | Indeed. When I made the account I never thought I'd end up using it as my main... Never thought PP could just take your fairly earned money away anyway.
That might be the best way to get the money out of PP. Also, I think a local computer hardware shop takes PP balance so I may do that as well.
How do you suggest to go about it to have the best chances of not getting limited? I assume spend smaller amounts (<$250?). Regular intervals or irregular intervals? Same or different exchangers? etc. |

My browser deletes all history and stored cookies once I close the window. I input my details every time I log in.
Also, been trying to find a reputable PP > BTC exchanger onsite and offsite, and it seems they all require Friends & Family as payment, which is unavailable for accounts from my country at least, or names to match, or high rep.
Feeling hopeless about getting my money out in time before they lock it away, ask for ID then eventually empty my balance... |
| Lifeless | 10-17-2022 05:33 PM | Re: Advice on withdrawing from non-US f@ke name PayPal Still have not been able to move my funds out... Nobody will take G&S PayPal. Local Businesses require names to match (plus not sure what easily re-sellable item I'd buy with $5k).
Also tried linking a Wise US bank account but it shows an error telling me to contact support every time. |

| now after 180 days they ask an ID document for withdraw funds or add a bank.
On the phone they say that 180 days have passed, but the account is still restricted |

Just letting it sit in limbo wont start the process. |
