Payment hold: funds released one day after delivery?
 

I've been away from the ebay / paypal selling scene for a while. Seems paypal have changed some things around. I have a hold from a sale, and it says that funds will be released 1 day after delivery. Is this true? I believe it used to be 3 days after delivery, but it changed to 1?

Yes I believe they changed few things, but I don't know exactly what.
I have even seen cases, where the money was available immediately.

it depends on you,and what you sell.
1 day after delivery is good,some can be 21 days,

Wasn't an ebay sale. Just a direct payment through Paypal.

some members will have the fund immediately available,if there is chargback,money would not be withheld until the case is resolver,thse are called Paynow accounts.

Not what I was asking. I was simply asking about the release for 21 day holds. It says "funds will be released 1 day after delivery"...that's all I was wanting to confirm.

you can go to Ebay seller forum,there are many sellers there

Sounds like you don't have much experience with paypal. Instant access to funds is the norm...

Obviously you aren't understanding my question. I said it wasn't an ebay sale, so I'm not sure why you're suggesting that I go to the ebay section.

And to the other guy, I've been on this board since 2014, but haven't been active with ebay or paypal in the last 2 years. Things have changed since then. I was simply asking whether paypal actually changed their policy to release funds 1 day after delivery, since it USED TO BE 3 days after delivery.

But nevermind.

I'm simply telling you that it was NEVER their policy. You might have had your own issues, but it was never THEIR policy.

wrong,I just sold an item under a seldom used Ebay account,and it tells me money would be released one day after delivery.
a lot has changed with Paypal and Ebay,Etsy,

It depends on PP. My main experience on a new account they release it within a week but I've also had accounts where it does take 21 days for the release.

So it's really up to them.

Don't go by what they say but by what they do... never trust their words.
