PayPal and list of customers emails
 

Hi,

Ebay and PayPal trying to hide customers emails, but when we get email notification from PayPal about received payment, that email contains customer email address (in the "reply to" field) :)

Anyone knows any tool how to pull the list of emails from Gmail?

As far as I know though Paypal stopped including customer email addresses around the same time eBay did. I may be wrong though.

PayPal removed emails from website and reports, but not from email notifications :)

I tried it myself and it works very well. Apparently with the free version you are limited to scraping 100 email addresses every 6 hours. Premium version has no limit.

FYI I used these settings. Subject - "instant payment received from", pulling emails from the "reply-to" field like you mentioned.

About 10 years ago I paid $100 for some scraping software... WELL worth it! (if you can put it to use)

shipstation is perfect for pulling emails, actually u can even pull the phone number which should not be possible..

It just shows a "@members.ebay.com" email address as of this year. It used to pull the real email but not any longer.

You choose in account settings whether or not to require customer phone numbers during checkout. :noidea:

It's nothing I did. Or at least nothing I REMEMBER ever doing lol... have no need for it.

Probably checked by default, I unno. Phone number is necessary for international so I have always figured that's why they give us the option.

eBay will probably get rid of this option as soon as they can find a way to without messing up international orders.

You're saying it's only to do with international orders?

Whatever it's for, mine also says NO.

I'm saying that's probably the only reason we still have the option of requiring phone numbers at all - because otherwise eBay would have removed phone numbers around the same time they removed email addresses to prevent off-site sales.

Before MP I believe the default was to always ask for phone numbers, not the other way around like it is now. :noidea:
