I can see why there getting sued. They put my account on a reserve saying all my funds will be held 100% until I reach over $11,000, screw PayPal!

nice to see someone taking action against them.
The only silver lining about the new MP system is the fact paypal are now no longer a factor.

They'll settle out of court. The lady is only asking 25k in damages which to Paypal is less than they AUP out of accounts in one day.


And honestly anyone here would have been able to see this coming. This lady opened a fresh Paypal account and had $7k transferred into it. Real account or not that's just asking to be shut down by Paypal's automated risk detection systems.

And it was for unemployment benefits too...PayPal scared of stimulus/UI fraud, especially thousands of dollars in one fell swoop. They take issue with UI coming from different states or info that don’t match one’s PayPal account info. Better to let PayPal know ahead of time for multi-state UI...submit pay stubs, something or just withdraw to a bank account for Pete’s sake.
