Never knew a buyer could do this type of reversal
 

Anyone ever have a payment reversed by the bank a buyer paid with a instant transfer. Sold an item about 1 month ago, and today got an email from paypal stating a payment had been reversed. Here is the email:

We were recently notified that a payment you received was reversed by the buyer’s bank. A bank reversal can be requested by the bank itself or the bank account holder.


We have placed a temporary hold on the funds until our inquiry is complete.

We are reviewing the bank reversal and will contact you again via email with information on what to do next. You may be asked to provide additional information about this transaction.

Yep, does happen. I call it buyer's remorse. Scenario I know is like you said.
Item paid for weeks ago then this notice that it is reversed.
Usually the buyer has gone off to the bank & given a tale of account being used unlawfully. <---> banks hear that & backflip. Banks try to get the money back without reasonable discussion with you as the seller. paypal is playing the loving caring agent :rolleyes: Be prepared

Well after 10 years of eBay, this is the first time this type of reversal has been done to me. I guess Paypal can eat the negative balance It is a stealth account anyway, thanks Aspkin:amen::clap::hail:

^^^With the holidays approaching, these might happen more frequently. Seems the buyers are getting smarter;)

Thats why I went ahead with a merchants account and use Auctivia with Authorize.net. It helped weed out all the typical Paypal games that the buyers like to do.:violin:
