Pay pal holding on to my cash
 

Just had the dreaded withdrawral limitation put on my stealth UK paypal account.

They are requesting photo id (passport/driving license etc) which i don't have.

The are holding about £6k so I need to get access to the money

what's your advice?

If UK is like US,⊗⊗⊗⊗ driver license and passport would not work.

Here's the email i received (I'm not selling anything risky. I have no disputes open and tracking uploaded for every order):

Does the US Government provide this information to PayPal?

they can verify both,if you are stopped by local police,they can do so in their car.
US customs check your passport from its data base as you enter the country,private detectives can tap into it as well to see if you are put of country or in jail

Paypal uses services of companies like LexisNexis which runs identity info through a number of databases to find and match records with the provided data. Pass fugazi documents and they won't be able to match database info to the documents.

That info isn't provided but likely PP uses algorithms to check if ID info is valid...

Clearly an American's driver's license number and passport number are private, and not a matter of public record...?
