Paypal: This account needs a little bit of help to link it.
 

Hi all, I have a stealth paypal account aged for more than a few months now with a little bit of money in it. I am adding a bank (Bank of America) and am having issues both trying microdeposits and instant verification. When I try to add the bank for two small deposits it is making me choose between my business name and personal name (which is a stealth name). The BofA account is not a business account and I don't think it could be since my LLC is a little bit different than the business name on the Paypal.

When I try instant verification with Plaid it says we're sorry, we're not able to process your request right now, along with: This account needs a little bit of help to link it. Contact us and we can help with that.

Has anyone run into this before? I tried searching the threads but couldn't seem to find anything.

Did you try a different browser? If still issue, then you will have to contact them

I accidentally deleted the bank account attached to one of my 3+ year old paypal accounts. I waited a few weeks and tried to add it back. I received this error. I will wait longer for my second attempt, but it seems like this is a new prompt that forces you to call them in order to answer database questions. If that's the case then the account is done. Luckily I had no money in it

I tried both Chrome and Firefox and got the same result. If i contact Paypal, would they be able to do anything? The name is mismatch so I'm not sure what I would have to tell them.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I am thinking the same thing, so will see if it happens again.
