How to build a solid Paypal account?
 

My question is what exactly increases paypal buying power? Before my paypal got permanently limited I was able to make big purchases. Like $5,000+ no problem even on prepaid cards. The reason I got limited was because I was on vacation using paypal and I didn't trust hotel wifi so I was using paypal on NordVPN. BIG MISTAKE. I got hit with docs, hours later permanently limited. Should have stayed on mobile data.

I have recently started using my friends paypal and I added a prepaid card with their addresses and names on the cards. And everytime I try to make a big payment, I get the message this card cannot be used for this transaction. Please contact merchant. Sometimes it blocks even small payments. I dont understand. They have lots of transactions on their accounts. I even told them to add their banks so paypal can verify their account.

PP can identify risky BIN numbers so might have to consider real cc

Before I got permanently limited I never in my life received this message “this card can not be used for this transaction”.
All purchases was working fine on my account even with the virtual cards. But every one of my friends accounts are hit or miss with the purchase going through.

Paypal does not like prepaid cards,esp for large purchase.
Back then when it was fine ,there must be less fraud.

PayPal may block payments from recently added cards/bank accounts. Takes some time before this security block disappears. You may try to warm up the account with a few smaller payments.

That’s weird because on my account that was permanently limited I was able to make purchases around $5000 with a prepaid card that was just added to the account at the time of purchase

All I can think is, my account was aged pretty well

Small payments to start with, build up cookies, let it age up for a month or so before even considering huge payments tbh.

I've gotten lucky and received £5k/$6k+ after a few weeks, but my account had to get restored before then. Was all smooth from there though.
