Paypal asking to TAX ID information
 

I have an account in the US that doesn't have a SS or ITIN linked to it.
PP sent me numerous e-mails warning me the account will get limited for the past 6 months. I didn't do anything since I don't have tax id they asked.
Received and withdrew money today without a problem.

Is the account going to get limited once I hit $600 or all those e-mails were BS??

Did anyone got their PP account limited due to not entering TX information???
I am very curious to know if anyone got their account limited after they receive more than 600 because I think that is what will be the max amount they will let you receive without a tax ID

Every selling platform has to provide tax id for over $600 sales now.

yes I understand that. What I am wondering is what will happen to this pp account if I don't provide any tax ID info

Not sure. They may hold funds and limit your account like eBay does

Why not give them an EIN?

I don't have an EIN. Do you know how to apply for one online?

You wont be able to do anything with the account they will just hold the funds

Just get an EIN an apply it to the account

Go to the IRS website and you can apply online.

Ummm yes... it's easy... go to irs.gov and apply for one.

Takes minutes
