Can't use money/transfer money in PP account
 

I have over $4k in my US Stealth PP account that I am unable to use for eBay purchases, transfer to a bank or have them send me a check.
The PP account is in otherwise good standing.
PP is requiring me to fill out their CIP verification that requires a photo ID and the last four of my SS number before any of the above can occur.
I can provide a photo ID, but the SS issue is a deal breaker.
If I close the PP account, I am not sure if they will just send me a check in the name on the PP Stealth account.
Any suggestions or recommendations would be grateful.

They are asking for a doc before you can withdraw to your bank account but your acc isn't limited? I don't think I've seen that before.

PP won’t let me do anything with my money until I submit my Social Security number and DOB. Can’t send money, withdraw it to my bank, pay an invoice, or get a check. I’ll have to see if I can use an EIN. Don’t think I can close the account without emptying it, but PP won’t let me empty is either.

Use an EIN . But you should still be able to withdraw to bank acc. That's been standard for a while now

That's a pretty tough situation you are in if you can't even do anything without sending that info in.
Usually when that happens to me, I am able to just request a check and move on.

Do try that EIN route as mentioned. Best of luck.

PP has essentially frozen my money in my account although it’s still in fine standing. They are insisting on verification before I can do anything with my money. I tried to get a check and it won’t let until I provide the SS# and DOB. I mistakenly closed the associated bank account with the PP account and PP won’t let me add a new one. I have tried six ways to Sunday to add a new bank and PP tells me my they can’t override PP’s bar from that happening…try again later. Later is never. They’ve even told me to use the funds and buy things or ask for checks, but the right hand is telling me something the left hand won’t do. It’s put in a tight spot and there’s a lot of money in the account.

If you can use your balance to buy anything, i have a solution for you.

I cannot buy anything with my balance. The option is not even there now. The only option to pay for anything is to use the debit card I have with the account. The debit card is a pre-paid Visa that money can’t be added to. PP is nice as pie to me in dealing with this, but they keep sending me to the link that asks for the SS. I will obtain an EIN as that appears to be the only possibility left to get my funds, but my hopes are not high. Then where do I go from there.

Add that EIN and just hope for the best. Update us.
