A Simple Question About Cookies

I have a cookies.txt file I was able to export from my old laptop, and I now plan on importing them to the new laptop. The cookies are all of the cookies from every site I visited, however I only want to import the paypal cookies. My question is, Can I edit the cookies.txt file and delete all of the websites that are not paypal or will editing a cookies.txt file cause me issues?

P.s. Im using firefox on windows. I feel like this is something I should have been know, however I've never had a reason to export and import cookies.

Hmmm..... I usually just transfer everything from Firefox because I don't want to mess with anything.

Besides I have dedicated windows user accounts per account so no need to pick and choose for me.

Not really worth just parsing out the cookies you want OP...in my opinion

But can I do that if I wanted too, just by simply deleting the line? Will this damage the entire file? I have my reason just want to know if it works this way or not.

With ccleaner you can delete certain cookies, so you can use that and only keep the cookies you want

But I usually transfer everything

I guess most of us don't do this.

So try it out and let us know how it goes.

Seem to have worked for me, my issues was that

1. The cookies on the old PC was with a certain proxy that stopped working, opening the browser without a proxy I noticed the cookies was capturing and responding to me opening the browser "With my actually IP" so I did not want to transfer those cookies over to the new PC. Instead I wanted to only transfer the old cookies from certain sites like "PayPal, Payoneer, etc." But all is good now
