Paypal AUP - Stealing Peoples Money
 

https://ibb.co/Jp5jm7D - PayPal basically said they didn't think I was running a legit business and took the $3.3k out of my account and transferred it to themselves. I was selling reproduction games, but clearly stated they we're repo's and was even more obvious by the low price as well. All my customers we're happy too and it's been almost two years now. No chargebacks, no returns or nothing.

I've tried soooo hard. Literally emailed anyone and everyone (other countries PayPal), financial offices of my state, BBB, etc. We even have a discord group and hopefully a class action lawsuit coming up as a whole. Either way I've accepted that I'm not getting this money back, but just incase there may be a service out there or may be someone that knows something that I don't (certain someone to contact), putting this out there.

I don't believe it is legal to sell knockoffs of other people's video games.

100% guaranteed you will never see that money, there is no service whatsoever that can recover the money.

Think positively, I assume you did make some money out of your illegal scam so be grateful for what you got. Losses and disappointment are part of the game when you're in the business of counterfeiting. Simply see it as a business expense, shrug your shoulders and start again.

Sadly OP, no matter how much you say clearly that the games are repro's, you are not going to be able to get away with the sales :(

It's a grey area, as after 20 years something about the copyright running over.

Selling copied cd's regardless of how good and authentic they may look is ridiculously high risk. People with legit businesses that are selling too fast or selling a genuine non-tangible digital service are getting shafted left right and centre with that AUP policy so there is no way in hell any marketplace or payment providing platform will allow outright knock off sellers.

It's just a matter of time until everyone is caught and suspended. Stick to legitimate items. Plenty of money to be made just buy buying low and selling high just got to find the right products.

To be blunt, it is only a grey area for those sellers damaged by PayPal.

Should an item have a hint, a sniff of IP rights, you are in a bad place.

Equate it to a game of ice hockey where you get hurt somewhere….ouch!

Proceed carefully because you want to avoid making contributions to PayPal.

Sorry the news is not better.

I know / agree with everything thats been said, was just looking for a possible service, as some people have connections or tips / tricks they've used before. It's very rare that people with AUP violation get their money back.
