| Jband0 | 02-23-2023 07:52 AM | Building up an account. Say I’m starting a new stealth account. I want to build it up to a good standing to where PayPal has trust in my account. What would be the sale patterns for this?
How many transactions should be processed in the first month?
How much should the transactions be in the first month?
When do I begin to scale?
Any answers are much appreciated, I haven’t seen many threads like this on here to feedback will help others aswell as myself I think. |

You're going to use Paypal to accept money from where? Let's start here. |
| murdered_by_ebay | 02-23-2023 10:12 PM | Re: Building up an account. building up on paypal would mean making purchases on a regular basis and receive limited amounts of money from known sources , in the past for example ebay would have been a great a way to build paypal with low sales at the start and increasing them slowly |
| Jband0 | 02-24-2023 02:09 PM | Re: Building up an account. My sales come from instagram and WhatsApp I sell vintage golfing gear, my sales come through G&S finally just got a stealth account that looks like it should stand. I say this because it’s passed the ID check.
I’m only asking for a system with prices that range from £50 - £1300.
I appreciate anyone taking time out of their day to help. |

HVS will have a stricter bot that'll look into accounts.
But since you're a business what you can do is set up your account as a business with PP but also have a talk with their manager.
It'd also be a plus if you have a "warehouse or store".
PP knowing that you are a "business" for real will take better care of you. |

also use Paypal to print shipping labels |

I was hoping on selling maybe 3-4 times a month maybe. |

also use Paypal to print shipping labels | If I link the account to a depop would that make it better? Even if I get sales directly and not from the app?
Or should I post a few up and hope the sell on depop? Maybe even mix and match between depop sales and regular G&S? |
| degsey69 | 02-26-2023 02:05 PM | Re: Building up an account. If you are starting a UK personal account to start selling items, why are you asking about PayPal as you will be using eBays managed payments.
If you successfully create a selling account and manage to get the first listing up, I recommend that you do an auction and not buy it now. I would take it slowly put up one item a week on a 7 day auction for 4 weeks. After that you can increase your listings per week. Hitting the 3 month period with gradual build up of sales will ensure sucess. |
| agent006140 | 02-26-2023 06:17 PM | Re: Building up an account. I dont think you will have much problem, your first few payments may be withheld until tracking shows delivered, for payment over $500,you need more than tracking, you need signature confirmation as well.
Printing shipping label on PAYPAL helps. |
