Phone number verification for US Paypal

Does anyone know if Tello numbers will work for paypal verification with a US account?

I've been getting the quick security check and there is just no way to move past it without a US phone number. I added one but it looks like it is going to take months for Paypal to recognize as trusted?

But from what I understand the number has to be registered in your name?

I went to Tello's website and saw this:

"Can I set the caller ID name to one of my choosing?

No. Unfortunately, there is no option to use a personal name, company name or a nickname as your displayed caller ID name (CNAM).
Whenever you call a landline the caller ID name displayed will be "wireless caller".

So does this mean Tello won't work for Paypal since I can't have my name?

Are there any other providers that are recommended for a US phone number, which will work for Paypal? Ideally those that can be activated outside the US

It all depends on which paypal you add the new number to. If this is a new account, you can add it without a name, but if it is an old number and you cannot open an account without a phone number, then you need to register a name
For about 4 months I was looking for a solution to this problem, tested any services ,and I found it, but for personal reasons, I can't post this method on the forum, as paypal can quickly close it

RUle of thumb is to avoid Voip based phones

don't you have something like att mobile etc? see if they have an American phone

why do you need a us paypal account? canadian ones are better aren't they?

If your based in Canada your way better off using a Canadian account in all honesty.

While you can make an run a US PayPal there are going to be a few extra steps that you can avoid if you just use a Canadian based PP
