eBay Suspended & PayPal Limited Forums - US cheap phone number for paypal

Does anyone have any recommendation for something that works for Paypal verification?

Tello was working for me , then for some reason Paypal decided it's not going to work anymore. I am really not sure if it's possible to get a phone number registered in my name given that I don't live in the US. Do prepaid nunmbers really not work? B/c tello did work for 2 weeks or so.

Go to your local phone provider and get their cheapest prepaid phone

I used Tello and it was working for text veriifcation, then today suddenly it is not longer working b/c Paypal system is no longer recognizing it. They said prepaid numbers don't work but i have a hard time believing that.

Always used Tracfone unsure if you can get them outside the US though

Has to be bought and activated in US - I don't recall if the roam works in Canada...in 2010-11 it did not when I tried but it may have improved...

I mean I could get Tracfone since I'm in the US sometimes and if it can be activated, but will it behave the same way? Tello was working just fine until it stopped working and Paypal satrted saying it is not a valid number

I added a new Tello line and since yesterday it has worked twice for text verification, but most of the time i got the same error (which i think is normal b/c Paypal doesn't trust new number right away)

Also paypal is saying phone number should be registered in my name , if Tracfone works then that is simply not true. It is simply not possible to have number regustered in your name with prepaid phone plans

Yeah, i mean they don't know what they are talking about...Their security system is completely wonky. If what they said about prepaid not working, why did my Tello number work multiple times (it doesn't have my name as caller ID)... then it suddenly stopped working.

I guess I will try T-Mobile Connect next.. apparently you can set CNAM with it
