will my paypal still be valid?
 

hello, my ebay that is linked to my paypal account has been blocked and suspended. my question is, can i still use my paypal as it has about 400 pounds in still? i can log into my paypal and all looks well, but will i be able to send and withdraw money etc? thanks

Sometimes when ebay gets suspended Paypal survives, it depends on the violations.

If there is an extreme violation in ebay then Paypal will immediately be affected when ebay goes down.

Other violations like not paying seller fees, the paypal account will stay up (as long as they are not physically linked)

My advice would be to start with a fresh ebay and fresh paypal account, that way you wait for the dust to settle with the other account, and you can start using it again in a couple of months.

If you can in PAYPAL withdraw your funds. Withdraw the whole lot leaving the balance at zero (as long as no buyer complaints will take the balance into negative)

Its always good to have several ebay and paypal accounts that way you can keeping jumping from one to another.

When you start using the paypal account again get rid of the email address from the suspended ebay account and use a nice fresh address.

I would make more effort to keep the paypal account alive, forget about the ebay account its not worth the hassle.

my paypal account has a different email address to the ebay account which was suspended.. so because i can log into my paypal and everything looks ok still, does it mean i can send and withdraw money? i dont want to try and withdraw a lot incase pp get suspicious or something.. i think one of the stealth ebay accounts was linked to my real ebay account.. is it a good idea to withdraw or send all the money out of the pp account today? thanks neo

sometimes it goes down eventually, so when using it never keep much in it, if you have more than one linked paypal they may let you keep one.

Ive got ones still up now from years ago, with the ebay account of it banned, and others went down the pan - I think they want your business so let you keep one for buying or receiving non ebay payments
