I have cross posted this question on the ebay side. But this is for PP
I am planning on upgrading my 5 year old phone to a new phone. Phone number will remain the same but I have questions.
Will PP have an issue with this change? Will they want to reverify? WIFI IP and everything else will remain the same. I just do not want my 8 year stealth legacy account impacted.
any help or input would be appreciated.
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
Yes they may do the verification too with the phone number
I have never, in god knows how many years, ever heard of someone going through ebay or paypal phone number verification because they moved their sim over to a new phone.
If they did then the internet and related forum would be swamped with tales...and it ain't.

No... you'll be fine.
it's not like you're running your accounts on a mobile phone right?
That'd be a ridiculous thing to do
Both eBay and PayPal will not need to reverify your new phone, you may not be aware, your IP address will have changed many times in the past on your old phone and it will not have remained the same as cell phones have dynamic IP address’s.

Let's air this one. Why is managing accounts from a mobile phone ridiculous?
Many of my family sell on ebay, have paypal accounts etc etc and do not have a PC. Millions of folk run their lives though mobile phones and tablets, which are effectively the same.
Why is this myth that you can only do business through a desktop machine perpetuated given the world we now live in?
Clarification would be "Stealth Accts" on a mobile phone.
It could be done IMO using different browsers, one acct per browser without ever using the eBay app.
Agreed, using the apps is a no-no for managing multiple accounts. I think we're all agreed on that one.
My point was, they're powerful pieces of kit nowadays and used correctly pose no risk, the principles of stealth being applied of course as you say, particularly in the context of this thread and the question asked by the OP. IMO it's not ridiculous.
