PayPal wants to use my camera

I have a stealth account with only jpg scans of the ID documents, but paypal wants to use the camera on my phone to take a picture of the document, does anyone have experience with this?

IRS uses a service which wants a person holding IDs in front of his phone or PC camera so that service can review and capture the photo,cant recall exactly how it works.
see since they will take the picture,they can be sure you have the documents on hands.
Cant recall the name of the outfit IDNOW????
