PayPal stole 20k $ from my Balance. with note: PayPal Loss Recovery AUP
 

After receiving an email notification, the funds from my Paypal balance were transferred to PayPal.

on 14 June 2022 I was informed that my account is suspended and i needed to wait 180-day before being able to withdraw my funds. With just 1 week remaining before the withdrawal date, I discovered that my funds (20.291$) appear to have been taken without any clear explanation.

I have found only a few examples, mainly in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Surprisingly, I have not found any reports in 2023.

I'm wondering if anyone else faced a similar problem to mine in December 2023, or if I was the only one.

This is really rough news - let's start the discussion - first q: what item/category of sales were you dealing in? Helps to give context as to why PP did this

if the paypal account is in your real details you need to evaluate if there were such activities , if not it is possible to take them to court , paypal lose court cases very frequently

If Paypal has indeed lost money due to you violating AUP,then the money is gone.
what did you sell?

PayPal are taking your money as compensation because of a breach of their terms and conditions related to the type of product you were selling.

You have not mentioned what type of product it is?

I had the same exact situation occur to me 3 years ago. With days before the 180 day period remaining, I logged on to my PayPal account to discover my $4.3k balance completely gone. All that was left was one single charge that was initiated by PayPal and it had “for protection/damage of products sold” or something to that affect. Basically PayPal stole my entire balance claiming that it was to protect the buyers that purchased from me. However they did not refund or reimburse any buyers. Basically they ripped me off

Next time,before you list an item,download a list of AUP violation from Paypal site,it will give you a better idea of what product or service violate AUP policy.
The list is a mile long.If you think your products could violate its policy,find another payment processor
