Selfie Requirements
 

Paypal is asking for selfie to be able to log back into my account. Does anyone know if this wil go away eventually. It has been 2 weeks now. Can someone DM me if they can help. No longer have phone connected to account.

Never heard of this before, please elaborate are they trying to force you to take a picture through there app or will they let you upload a already snapped picture?

Got this a week ago. Can't login without a text or selfie. Anybody else got this? Will this eventually go away?

When you choose the selfie route, are they allowing you the upload a pre-taken picture or are they requiring you to snap a picture live through the paypal app. Please clarify as one will be much easier to bypass than the other.

Not using paypal app. Using mobile internet browser. It is asking to take photo of ID and selfie through phone camera. No upload.

Another option is to add new phone. Can someone recommend a phone service that will work to verify account details.

Can someone PM me if they can help. Will offer compensation for your time.

Unfortunately at this point in the game a new phone number will not work, they want you to use the same number on file at creation. As for the upload of a selfie I cant speak on that too much but I can confirm that I have bypassed the photo ID requirements when my account was limited and they too requested I download the app and take a picture of my ID from my mobile phone. I simply contacted support via the message option and informed them "my link isn't working" or "my phone isn't a smart device" etc, etc. They then allowed me to upload a pre-taken photo of my ID thus reactivating my account. It wouldn't hurt to give it a try?

Im not sure if you can get the phone number back, if so, try. You have to retain phone number for as long as you want to keep the account. As for the ID verification, I have called up and said its not working and they sent a link for me to upload a copy of ID. (UK PP)

This is correct, if you don't have the number you can use the email or in any case use the ID verification...
The problem is that now artificial intelligence makes everything more difficult.

Had this on an account a few weeks ago i'd lost the phone number to it and recently changed number. I assumed it was due to the recent number change i did by calling up. a few days rest and the option to get sms came back Just happened on another account what i've not changed anything on and log into 1-2 a week. Will see if the rest resets it to sms or not

3 option

1 - use creative ID

2 - add a new number (use pingme)

3 - ring and add a new number (again use pingme)

All 3 work to get back into the account

Appreciate the suggestions but they don't work in this situation. Creative ID not a problem but it is requiring only selfie. Phone rep said they can't change number, only user can. Phone change requires info on phone account like name & address to match pp account. Willing to open verizon or t-mobile account if someone can definitely say it would work to add a new phone.

This is USA account. Internal security looks like it was changed in May.

here's a short guide on how to pass Quick Security check:

click "Next," open a new tab with PayPal and try to log in again (you can do this 2-3 times)

if not/

Go to the Login screen, click "Forgot password?", then "Forgot email?", copy/paste your email -> Log in with details.

if not/

Try to reset your password

if any of these steps don't work, i recommend waiting some time to let the system reload completely

They can still do it its just if they are willing to do it

as I have also been greeted with selfie requirement, I would be much grateful if anyone cant point the rest of use where to get additional info and or help regarding bypassing this thing.
Long time member here, PM will also work.

im well versed with verification documents and rest, only this live selfie or whatever it is thing is bumming me down :mad:

Ive seen some relatively expensive apps/tools being sold around on telegram for this purpose, but dont feel like cashing out on that app which I cant test before committing to buy

Couple of months ago I was asked for selfie too.
I used VPS machine to log in, and since there was no camera installed, I had an option to upload a picture.
It was accepted!

Next time I'd not use the VPS if I were you.

Use a proper VPN or Residential IP
