Possible to link the same bank account with 2 paypals?...
 

I have 2 paypal accounts which were opened with stealth info and have never been linked to an ebay account and the money that is in them has nothing to do with a ebay transaction. Would I be able to link them both to one bank account? Or must I open a new one?

I am using chase bank currently and have 2 accounts there which have been open since may of 2009. If I am not aloud to link 2 paypals to one account how many bank accounts would I be aloud to have at chase bank before Chex Systems does something? ( i have only opened 3 bank accounts in the past 8 years, 2 at chase and one at another bank.)

each paypal needs its own bank account...

Right, only one Bank account per PayPal account. If you try and add a bank account that is already attached to a PayPal account, PayPal will let you know it's been used with another account, and they will link your accounts. :(

Most likely your accounts are linked already if you haven't kept them separate using stealth techniques.

Try ING Direct savings accounts. You open one account, and with that account you can open dozens of separate savings accounts within seconds which you can each use for a separate PayPal account. Your names on both PayPal and ING MUST match though.

Thanks for the info aspkin, I can use a nickname as the first name though right? Such as Bob instead of Robert?

What happens when accounts get linked and how do I know they have been linked?

Nothing happens when they get linked, unless one gets kicked off, then they both do.

Sorry for bringing back an old thread, but I recently tried to add a bank account which had never been used on PP but got an error message saying it was linked to another account but then tried a bank account which had been used before (wife's fault) and it was processed and now is verified. I have been changing ips, different user accounts etc

What should i do?

I think you might be incorrect - you used a new account without problems (As expected) and tried to use an ALREADY used account so that failed (As expected) - you can't reuse old bank accounts ....for the most part

No I have the same bank account registered to 2 paypal accounts I thought this wasn't possible? I tried to put in details of a new bank account which I just made but PP says the bank account was linked to another PP account (which it clearly wasn't) but the wife gave me details of a bank account I had used before (unknown to me at the time) and it went through fine but I don't know whether it's safe to use or not?

1st pp with same bank account, The ebay account was suspended but paypal was verified and is fine.
2nd PP with same bank account I have just made it a week ago and not used it all.
