What answer are they looking for? (Proxy unblock)

Many residential proxy companies block paypal but will consider unblocking it if it you request it.

They always ask what reason do you wish to use PayPal with a proxy? Can anyone here speculate as to what an acceptable answer might be? I only have one chance to give the "right" answer.

Thanks

Let's start at the core of the discussion - why do you need to use a residential proxy? If you are in the UK, you can use mobile phone as hotspot for "real" IP (one example)...

I'd suggest finding another proxy supplier. I've never had any block pp or anything other site. PP works on (paid for) vpns now. Over half the UK use a VPN recent research suggests so companies have to respond(by relaxing a little bit) or lose them as customers. Also you want one that isn't actively monitoring what you're doing too. Bit sketchy for the service they are supposed to serve. I wouldn't encourage them by giving them money.

Travel, and use the same IP.

Thanks for your reply

Accessing a UK paypal account in Asia and not having to log each IP and change it on my hotspot when I'm in the UK.

I'm assuming paypal uk wont like logins from Asia?

I said I'm traveling, using public hotspots and need a proxy to avoid getting account flagged but they didn't accept this reason. But they told they will unblock it if I give a valid reason.

It would be a dynamic IP address so I can't claim that I want to keep the same IP address

Hi thanks for your reply I've looked at about 6 different residential proxy providers and they all block paypal unless you put in a request and give a reason you need it unblocked. It seems standard to block it even IP Burger block it unless you upgrade to their premium plan.

Ironically I only found 1 provider that doesn't block paypal and they are free but I won't want to use a free service.

I don't think they are being sketchy as they are trying to keep scammers out to maintain their IP reputation.

This is my answer that was rejected. They asked me why I didn't just use a VPN which I thought was an odd question

Thank you for your response. I use PayPal UK mostly for personal purchases and to receive the occasional payment for freelance work.

Since I travel frequently I may need to login from public Wifi which may sometimes block paypal or trigger security checks. I may also need to login from foreign countries.

Using a UK-based proxy helps maintain a consistent login pattern, avoid these disruptions and avoids the inconvenience of disconnecting the proxy connection each time I need to login to PayPal.

I understand the need for ID verification and am happy to proceed. Please let me know the next steps.

I'm not there although I guess paypal won't know that if I'm using a proxy

Odd, i've never encountered that. Use a mobile data proxy. You an get static mobile proxies. Though it doesn't really matter if your mobile proxy changes, i walked around tesco for 5-10 minutes and my mobile ip changed 3 times in that space of time. I'll message you the one i have been using never had any issues.
