Does paypal recognise me if I use the same bank card to a new account?
 

Hi. I removed a bank card as payment method from an old paypal account, opened a new paypal account and linked the same card (that I removed from the previous account). Does paypal instantly know that I'm the same person? Do they keep payment methods stored forever? Thank you

yes,Paypal never delete any account.close or dormant,with your ID,bank accounts and cc

close the old account down from settings section, delete all data...then youll be able to use the card on new account

Information is still retained on the back end so PP can link...but whether PP takes action is hard to be certain about.

thats correct,you may delete it,but it is still kept with Paypal.
You can try open a new account with the same bank account number and see if Paypal catches it.

only if the account has been permanently limited...if still active with no limitations then you can close and delete data, your card would be usable on new account no issues...as a matter of fact you can even use the same mob no and email and same card with diff name and details, itll work.. no links

If your new account agrees with your old account,say if your were Jane Smith and now you are John Law??

I agree with part of that - yes you can use the info no issues but there is still a backend link. Just because the account was not limited, doesn't mean that the link won't exist - it's easy to link up the info.

However, because there was no limitation - as you said - the info is still <clean> to you.

Paypal never delete accounts along with credit card and bank accounts attached to them ,you may delete them but it still have it .

I think PayPal can probably link some information behind the scenes, so it’s better to keep your account details consistent and follow their rules.

with credit card,husband and wife can share the same card.
Not sure if it works with bank card?

agent, what are you trying to discuss? Name or shared name or whatever on the card, pp can only see the names that are provided to them on a credit card

one cannot register the same card with more than one Paypal account ,unless they are husband and wife.

couple could share the same card,so if they each have a Paypal account,they can link it to the same card,Paypal allows that,but I dont know if it cares to see some proof if the two are married?may be by their last name and address?
