can paypal know new credit card is the same as the old one?

if you report a credit card lost and your bank send you a new one, and you try to add it to a new paypal account, does paypal have a way of knowing this card is somehow linked to the old one?

Paypal never forget us,we may closed our Paypal accpunt but Paypal still save it,along with the cc and bank accounts linked to these accounts.

No, just don't do it too many times or your bank will become suspicious. But if you have many banks and are a person that is always losing things then all good

cant recall which site,but it knows that your new card is a replacement of the old one you signed up ?AMZN or ??

Naw - none of the selling platforms would know about the replacement. Only the bank would know and the credit reporting agencies (since new credit card activity would replace the old one)

I just received a notice from AMEX ,it said it has decided to issue a new card and it is on the way,I do not have to do anything??
I assume it is going to update my AMEX card on every site it is registered?
I used AMEX card for grocery shopping as it gives me 6% rebate,not for online purchase so cant figure how AMEX decided it has been >tempered??

In short: it's possible that they know, and changing to a new card doesn't necessarily sever PayPal's ability to identify the connection.

If you have recurring payments on your AMEX, those providers might be notified.

Other sites being use for one off purchases, etc would not have access to your AMEX number by default.

Very very unlikely they would know - the bank would not tell pp that a card has been replaced.
