I keep getting this error when trying to spend my ppl balance. Low payments under 50 usually work but anything above just doesnt go through. Same error on multiple accnts for atleast a year now. Had no issues before.

Any idea how to fix this and how I can make a payment and make my purchase.

More INFO - funds have been in PP account for around 1 year. Ive got error for past 6 month. Ive tried waiting out. But it just doesnt let me make any purchases or send money to another ppl account.

If the fund you want to withdraw is old like you said year (years),it should not be restricted?
Do you have any open cases/disputes?

Tried invoice. Even tried making purchase on different platforms like ebay. Payment just wont go though and error keeps popping up.

Accnt is fully functional and I can make small payments no problem.

Might have to just use small payments then and be thankful that's possible.


Probably some kind of internal flag on the account that PP would never tell you about.

if it has been going on for years,you need to call them.
did you go to your dispute section and see if there is any open dispute?

There is such thing as reserve/rolling reserve,if an account has too many disputes.chargebacks,then Paypal and any cc issuer will hold back a certain amount just in case .

That isn't what's going on. If an account has a rolling reserve applied then it shows on the home page in bold print. It's not something that's kept hidden from the account operator.

Yes, my many clients faces same error on request and invoice while they make payment.. there is problem since 6 months... please if anyone have solution let us know. Thanks

You need to wait and don't try too often.

Tried once, if it doesn't work then try 24 hours later, and so on.

They don't like you spending your money too soon after receiving it

He said the money has been in his balance for a year.

Sounds like a PayPal account limitation or security hold issue, not a simple payment error. Contacting PayPal support to review the account status may be the best solution.
