what is Notification of payment received?
 

hi guys, could any one tell me what is the difference between Notification of payment received and item ### Instant payment received? because i receive these two different payment notice email for the same ebay item, and i am confused.

Usually notification of payment received means that the buyer has paid for the item but Paypal is placing a hold onto the funds until you receive positive feedback for the item or 21 days has past since you received it. Notification of instant payment just means somebody paid for their item and the funds aren't being held by Paypal.
Did you read the emails from Payapal? They should explain the difference to you

both payment were not held for 21 days. however, after my ebay acc dies, payment which has item### instant payment were held by paypal for investigation. that really confuse me.

Have completed the shipping?

Notification of instant payment means you received funds from paypal balance.

Instant payment received means you received funds from credit or debit card.

When you get "You received a payment" that means your payment is being held for 21 days.

I just received the same thing tonight? I personally have never seen this after selling something and receiving the payment.

It has the persons email address, then the subject says: Notification of payment received

YES...the money is in PayPal and there is NO-HOLD's, this account is over 2 years old. The buyer has 0 feedback with a 2 day old account.

I have been selling on eBay for almost 7 years and this is a first.

I get that email when a buyer pays directly to my pp without using an invoice or ebay.

I'm inclined to agree with both of you.

Inside the email PayPal sent me, it has that phrase "You've Got Cash!"

I hate when anything deviates from the norm, I automatically assume SCAM! :suspicious:

Oh Well, I am 90% sure this is legit. I will (reluctantly) go ahead and ship. It is about a $50 item with free shipping, so not much worry.

I get Notification of payment received when someone buys one of my e-Products (digital downloads) not associated with ebay.
