Paypal doesnt care, by the time Paypal even gets sued they would have made billions off them frozen accounts but would have to pay out only million if they lost a lawsuit..

FYI- Paypal has over 100 Million Members, at ANY one time 1 % of their members have limited/frozen accts. So, thats 1 million members, average person has $46 in their paypal acct (according to the article i read a couple years ago)-- so thats $46 Million Dollars 365 days/year Paypal drawing interest on.... Probably pays their salaries/overhead?? I think the $46 is way off, but thats what the story was..

With the ebay forcing people to link and use paypal for payment, couldn't the government force ebay to sell off paypal. There are auctions you can not bid on unless you are a paypal member and that would constitute an illegally monopoly. Remember the days when ebay try to stop paypal and would take down your auctions if you mention you took paypal payments.

You are forgetting about all the loss payapal and ebay takes on scams. I know the don't pay off on many but there has to be significant loss there. Don't know if it still happens but the refunded a big payment to one of my customers, because he filed a credit card complaint and the account went negative. Since it is link to throw away bank account and $5 Virtual credit card they had to eat $500.

I fully agree with you. That's a monopoly.

Yeah Its probably more then that cause some people have thouands stuck in their Paypal..

But whoever thought of doing that is very smart, I must give it to them. Thats a hell of a idea.. Over $60 million dollars a year for nothing. I bet they are paying off alot of politicians and so forth

ivegotinfo 12-05-2007 07:06 PM

and investing... ridiculous amounts of money being made there...
lets see they have 40 million on hand AT LEAST!..wow..they can lend it out as loans back into the economy, and make more interest off that lol... use money they dont own to make more money... yeah those guys are geniuses

It usually takes a lot for the DOJ to get involved. They only course of action I have taken, that has somewhat worked, was a compliant to the the attorney general in your state or in Ebay/Papal home state. If you get lucky and an iteren at the attorney generals office like your complaint, you may get some satisfaction.
