static | 05-19-2010 04:45 PM | Question about linking/limitation Hey. I just noticed that an ebay account that I've been using every once in a blue moon, is linked to a limited paypal. The paypal it is linked to is limited, but the ebay is still running fine. I hadn't bought anything with that ebay account since before the linked paypal was limited, so it was never an issue before.
Now today...I won something on ebay, and when I went to pay for it, I noticed that it automatically brought up the email of the limited paypal (I had intended to pay with a totally different paypal, and couldn't figure out why that limited paypal email would come up initially).
Now my question, is...will they allow me to use a different/not currently linked/limited paypal to pay for that item, or will they just instantly link the new paypal to the old paypal that was limited, and stop my payment? I want to pay for the item since I won it and really want it, but I don't want to risk limitation on my new undamaged paypal (especially since it is a $430 purchase and I don't want that $ locked up for 180 days =/ )
Any insight? I know that there are lots of previous threads on limitation, but I also know the ebay/pp landscape changes daily, and I want to make sure I plan according to what has been happening most recently. Thanks! |
