Buyer asking for refund. Can he chargeback after I issue refund?

Here is the deal.

A guy bought some service worth low xxx and after 2 days he says he is not interested in the service anymore and that he would like to have a refund. The service has not been provided as of now.

The buyer made the payment using masspayment option.

If I issue refund will he able to chargeback?

Vicvelcro 05-24-2010 10:38 AM

That depends on whether the buyer funded the payment from a credit card or not.

Can he chargeback the particular transaction even after I refund the money assuming he funded paypal using credit card.

Was going through older threads and man you are cool :)

Vicvelcro 05-24-2010 11:08 AM

Yes, he can. It is called "double-dipping". If the money amount was low, he probably wouldn't bother to do this, though. Possible but not probable.

Thx for the 'cool'ness.

Glad that I did not refund the payment. I was suspicious of the guy right from the start. He was asking questions for an hour regarding the service. Damn.
