Class Action Lawsuit Filed Against PayPal for Withholding Money

On 5/12/2010 a class action lawsuit was filed against eBay and PayPal for withholding funds without explanation.

Here is a link to the PDF file that contains the court filing:

Copyright/trademark infringement in domain url. Surprised the host has not received a C&D letter from Epay's bottomfeeders.

Paypal is a Delaware corporation lol who would have guessed, all the penny stock I used to trade were Delaware corporations, I bet paypal will soon become a penny stock lol.

You could do it, it might take alot of work but all you really need is a website and a good lawyer, get a bunch of people with suspeded paypal accounts to your site and take donations for lawyer fees, anythings possible.

This was actually news about 2 years ago....and funny enough it is what got me the whole "we no longer wish to do business with you" email and kicked off paypal. I had been on ebay for years before I got my first 'item not received as described' and then the buyer sent me a pretty red brick instead of my items, and when paypal gave the buyer back MY funds, I fought it so hard (not knowing what I know now) and lost of course......that is when I sent paypal that whole "well that is why there is a lawsuit against your company for doing exactly this...." and I got that "we no longer wish to rob you" email. Actually everyone who had a paypal account got an email from some lawyer site that was about 10 pages long explaining what was going on and that nothing needed to be done on the parts of paypal users that if some settlement was reached certain people would get a cut. Never paid it much attention, but I guess it angered paypal enough when I mentioned it to black list me. That's karma, you can only rob people so many times before some stuff hits the fan. Dont see how paypal would win that one.

I like the fact that they are demanding a jury trial. The problem is paypal gets alot of these suits. There are actually quite a few class action suits against paypal over the years. All thats going to happen is they are going to settle out of court and admit no wrong doing.

what surprises me is that you never hear about any paypal bigwigs being held hostage or pistol whipped by a paypal user that "just wasn't going to take it anymore" and was driven to take matters into their own hands and seek vengeance..or maybe those stories are kept under wraps like how in Vegas any crimes done in the casinos that could bring bad press to their establishment gets hushed and never released to the public...

I was thinking the same!, I personally feel like I want them removed from this earth.

question?? can paypal employees sell on ebay?..and if so, do they have a special permit to be exempt of all the crap they pull on the common ebay folk? or are they just like a pack of wild hyenas all out for themselves and no one is safe not even their own...i apologize to the animal kingdom of hyenas....i realize that was a clear and vicious insult to hyena animal species...my apologies.

Yes they Can, I have spoken to More than 1 Ebay employee durring those New Seller Account Interviews that have told me that they do. Wether they are supposed to or not By Ebay policy I do not know, if it is it is NOT Enforced. So if Ebay Employees can, I do Not see Anything that would make me think that a Paypal Could not. Remember they are suposedly Seperate Companies.

I too have OFTEN Thought that an ENORMOUS amount of sellers are somehow connected to Ebay, Here's a Little Nugget--27% of all Ebay regestered users are from California, More than 2x NY Number 2 on that list, I read that about 2 years ago.

Whoa boy, that explains A LOT!

Damn, you would think by now there would be some disgruntled PP employee's who just spill the beans about exactly what goes on there, but I have seen nada. Not one anonymous snitch. They must treat their employees really good.

SaiJin 08-14-2010 10:32 PM

Or they have a no-rivalry / disclosure contract with every single one.

MadSam 08-14-2010 11:01 PM

Most definitely saijin. As in anyone who talks gets sued out of existence and never works again.

Where did this information come from that PAYPAL IS A DELAWARE CORPORATION??? I am confused on this point...

ffdgh1 09-14-2010 07:02 PM

ALL I CAN SAY IS IS IT'S ABOUT TIME!!! :cheer: Like David and Goliath "GIANTS DO FALL" maybe we can wish to see some of that interest they accumulated off of us!

i have a Paypal account in my real name with a 180 day freeze the reason high risky activity, I've had since 2004 , i gave invoices, ss card, proof of address i jumped through their hoop and still nothing. this is beginning to look deliberate on their part for the sole reason to gain interest off of millions of customer frozen funds!!

I only bought things with that account not sell! I use authorize.net for sells money hits the banks within 72 hours!

maybe this will finally put a stop to the MASSIVE FEEBAY/PAYPAL BRAINWASHING MACHINE CLEARLY THEY ARE NOT A SAFE WAY TO PAY/SELL!
