Is there any way I can use my Paypal account, abroad?
 

Hi guys,

I have a 3 year old UK Paypal account (not registered in my REAL name) that I use as my main account.

In a couple of weeks I am moving to the US for 6 months. I want to be able to use my account while I'm there.

I know that logging into your Paypal account if you're in another country is a bad idea and will result in your account being frozen. But can I do something to prevent this from happening?

Should I call/contact Paypal and let them know I am going to the US so that they can put a note on my account or something?

What do you think?

you should use uk vpn. buy a vps at tinyvps for $5/month, and setup a vpn server to that.
That way only you will use that IP address, not a shared vpn ****...
And you'll have more than enough bandwidth for paypal purposes.

Good idea with the UK VPN. Was considering getting a UK VPN anyway so that I could watch UK TV online. :cheer:

Quick question. Should I use the UK VPN to login to my UK Ebay account too? Or should I just change my profile location from UK to USA. Hmmmm...I guess the Ebay and Paypal account both need to be accessed from the same country, right?
