Can paypal see my name on credit card?
 

From what I've read so far Paypal cant see my name on my bank account so I can therefor use a stealth name on my account but when I link my credit card for verification are they able to see the name on the card?

cant see it, no. But Name will need to match to use it. So if it has John Doe and you enter John Smith it will fail. They wont see John Doe, but it will fail non the less

As long as your bank name and credit card name match...that is fine. You may also use your Stealth name for your paypal.

Having said that, I have a Stealth name on my paypal and real name on my bank/CC and I use it all of the time! As a matter of fact, that particular account is for Ebay/PP only and when I need to pay to ship items or to purchase shipping supplies, I use that card only.

Your saying name on card does not match paypal and they let you use it? bank, sure, but credit card? Thats surprising.

It works - where the credit card usually fails is the zip code match - that's the key.

The real name on credit card is the key like keyword in every deal.

Correct! I purchase ALL ebay supplies and ship all ebay items by paying with this card...or for that matter, I have used it for a few 'around-the-town' purchases...gas too!

So, what if the name on the CC iI use is a astealth and the Bank Account is my real name... they dont match.. will Paypal now anything is wrong when I withdraw?

The only thing Paypal is interested in are the numbers of the address and the zipcode.

If your [real] address on your credit card is:

John Smith
1234 Elm Street Drive
Miami, Fl 33188

You can create your stealh account with the following information and it'll pass teh CC check:

Johnny Appleseed
1234 Grimwald Road
Miami, Fl 33188

Again, only the numbers of the address and zipcode must match.

Interesting, because when I verified my Prepaid CC on the paypal they somehow pulled my whole billing address from the card and used it as the "confirmed address", without me being able to edit it.

Can anyone confirm this can happen? I am about to add a card with an address I don't want paypal to see. They should not be able to see any address info you don't give them right?

Unless you have been "inside" the Ebay system and know how they work...we'll never truly know. But whether they can or cannot, I still do not trust them!

If I check my bank and I have no need to check my card?
