not as described or never received?
 

someone sold me an expired coupon on ebay. now they wont refund me. I want to dispute with paypal. I am just wondering which will give me a better chance at recovering my money, not as described or never received? coupon was sent by email.

Obviously it's a coupon for a lot of money, so yeah, punish the seller. :rolleyes: Sure must be a real deal to do a dispute.:ranger:

File with Ebay buyer protection first if you lose that you still can file with PayPal. You can file a not as described on one and item never received on the other.

@birti, my reply might have put you off. But sometimes I tend to want others to think outside the square. I'd still be inclined to think if it is worthwhile.

Your case 'suggests' using the buyer protection with ebay. It's a nice little gift from ebay...

It's much quicker than paypal to resolve, imo.

NOPE, not true! i did that once and few days later when i opened the paypal dispute they closed it saying i already did it through ebay and lost.

You can not do both now. It changed. Can't have x2 returns from ebay/paypal.:rolleyes:

Did you file the same on both Ebay & Paypal. I file with ebay and lost and then file with paypal and won i did not use the same dispute i use with ebay.

@telly, that's a better explanation now. So you lost on the buyer protection with ebay? Hmm, they must be getting stricter.

Ok i got it now. Sorry I had to go back and check which one i did first and it was the paypal dispute i lost than i file with ebay buyer protection and won. sorry GreenBean for that bad info

To be honest I dont like the whole lying thing, I mean you DID receive the coupon. If it is an expired one....did you try contacting the seller and allow a understandable 24 hours for a response????? Could have been they sent you an old file with the coupon and giving the seller an oppurtunity to fix the issue would be the best choice. The whole lying thing is just ugly period. This forum is for honest sellers/buyers and even implying that you would lie is just not right. Good Luck to you though, hope everything works out the way it should.
