| wjs010 | 08-13-2010 02:05 AM | Address ( may have screwed) so, even though this was thought out and intentional, I still may have ****ed up. I just made my first stealth account an hour ago...I got everything setup no problem. So, I found a decent way to make profit, but I have to get my feedback obviously up because what I want to sell may be "RISKY" lol...
so I was gonna boost my feedback and bought something. My stealth address is not my current address, ( obviously because this address was limited)...but I thought it through and gambled, and when i bought the 1 dollar item for feedback boostage, i put the shipping address as this current address. I was hesitant, and still kinda regret it, but I dont know if it will be detected. I went to paypal and checked my profile, and the address isn't there. Its simply only in the transaction details in the shipping address.
Will paypal get something this minimal to ban me? Thanks. |
Wish I could say definitely it could not - but I can't =(
The fact that you typed in your current address once may NOT cause problems - but it may since Paypal/ebay log EVERYTHING. Go with the flow and be careful from now on.
Keep it in mind - and begin building other stealths. |
| DogFacedBoy | 08-13-2010 12:17 PM | Buy e items that can be delivered by email...but not too many and other items at a dollar that you don't care if you get or not. What's $10 for 10 positive feedbacks if you never get the items? Just don't go buying a bunch of them at the same time, that will red flag you.
I have emailed the seller before buying asking if they can ship to a different address because I move, etc. In the comments I will put something like "can you send this to the address I just sent to your email?" and then immediately send an email to their Paypal email. If you are buying something of any value, just make sure that they will ship to a different address before buying. |
| oompaloompa | 08-13-2010 01:08 PM | I would never input the address in to pp, but time will tell and you are probably ok, I mean people put in gift addresses for friends all the time, in future, email the real address after youve purchase, but check before buying that seller would allow this...
agreed, though a dollar per feedback is cheap, if you start selling on that account afterwards |
| wjs010 | 08-13-2010 01:30 PM | thanks fellas. Yea,Ithink I am inthe clear atleast for a little while...I hate the fact that i didn't start out from the beginning knowing about stealth , because now I'll NEVER be able to verifyanything lol..if i getcaught i'm screwed. So, time will tell, but I'll try to just buy e things instead...but i bought an ipod touch armband for 1 dollar!I wanted that!lol |
/quote I hate the fact that i didn't start out from the beginning knowing about stealth
Never too late to start fresh... |
| boxcutters | 08-13-2010 02:34 PM | I would never ever try this.
If you are buying $1 items and they are coming from overseas or whatever let em get sent to that ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address buy your feedback for the $1 unless you really want the $1 item |
| wjs010 | 08-13-2010 04:09 PM | that's the only 1$ item i will ever want lol...itouch sports band thingy..everything else will be fine. and rsot, it is too late, because no matter what, if i get limited..how in the world can i verify?:( |
| Wengsu78 | 08-14-2010 04:02 PM | would mispelling the street address and town be unable to detect by paypal/ emaill.
mispell the city, street name, and number slight off, becuase post man i know him.
ok?
i want to be able to buy and sell on the same account. |
| oompaloompa | 08-14-2010 04:50 PM | misspellings can and do work, except in the case of a manual check by paypal employee for whatever reason
remember it is the combination of house number and zip that is most noted by pp bots, in terms of linking to a previous banned address, so a switcheroo is possible |
| wjs010 | 08-14-2010 06:32 PM | never thought about that..i thought that would just be another red flag..however, i'm going to use my money wisely and just get resellable ebooks..oh yea, can anyone tell me how to list them so they have a fixed price and last forever? |
| oompaloompa | 08-15-2010 09:46 AM | listings dont last forever, some ebay tools have an auto-relist mode, they update listing every several weeks, but they arent recommended in stealth mode, as they may link your accounts if they are multiple via their download on your PC | | All times are GMT -5.
