Default Paypal for outside deals?

I have bought from people and paid with Paypal, and they always say mark "Services" and leave everything else blank.

Can I accept money/do sales outside eBay with a month old account?
What are the precautions/steps?

Thanks again.

I was reading a thread in here earlier today and someone said the same thing. To make "services" when making a payment to someone. Sounds about right.

I would think it's ok, but as we all know, PP is unpredictable. I would start out slow with transactions and never keep too much money is your PP at any given time.

It doesn't matter. Once you take in a certain amount of money they are going to want to know more about what your doing. No way to avoid that.

Marking things as services or other or even gift at the very least will decrease "item not as described" disputes if filed.
IMO the toughest PP disputes to win are ebay sales and then sales after that.
So in preparation for dishonest buyers it is the way to go.
For withdrawing I don't think it will make a difference

No, I mean like when someone says "hey, do you have any more of these? I missed the auction, I can just send the money to your Paypal."

Luckily, I always have a number of people that follow me around after an account goes down. You know, messages like "hey, is that you? What happened? I still wanna keep buying from you." You know?

The best thing about outside of eBay transactions is that even if they file
"Item not as described" dispute, you will automatically win because Paypal doesn't care about outside of eBay transactions as long as you provide tracking number.
That's all they care about! Ask JBuntz.
Me and him love this method!
