Paypal phone call
 

I'm glad I had my Tracfone with me. I made a withdrawal of a whopping 40 bucks, and they called me 10 minutes later to ask me if that was really me.

She didn't ask for any information, nothing at all. Just said was that you? I said yes, and that was it. Good God, the stress.

It's a month old, total amount is around 600 bucks. I made a small withdrawal last week, but most of the money is still on hold (21 day hold).

This is why I keep my numbers active. And I make sure its with me whenever I do anything on PayPal.... You just never know with these cats anymore...

I heard that they are starting to call account owners more often now instead of just limiting you. That's why people need to carry their phone[s] at ALL TIMES for if they call.
This seems to be a problem for many people since they don't pick up their phone. You asked for it:boink:

If a phone call can ward of a suspension or limit bring it on.

lol I still don't have any active lines attatched to my accounts but when they do limit you for withdrawing it's usually a simple one, they just need a call from a landline or send a pin# to your address, not too big a deal.

We saw same calling activity too. After selling much paypal called and ask about us: what company we are, what shipping company use. And I think limited account and paypal call is very tied I think. If you dont answer your account it will be limited and you have to provide some info. Dont know if it is really true but seems so.

They just called me (automated call) and asked if I registered the account.
And to change my name, as I only provided my initial for the first name.

I now got an email asking me to change my name with instructions.

what shall I do? I am nearly through with verification (just phone missing) and another account in my name is limited. Unfortunately, my real name is not a standard name, so I probably be the only one in UK with this name.

Any suggestions?

Bank account verified, only need to provide them with business info & telephone verification which I need to carry out with a line in my virtual office.

You should change it to something else then, not your real name

so if your real name is Guy and al you have is G on the account right now, change it to Gerald or something

to be honest this is right stress when its our money they bossing about.. im getting rly highrate about it..

Just imagine all the interest they all getting , paypal and amazon holding peoples money

maybe they have to meet a certain target to get bonus's on wages

This once again proves the absolute idiocy of Paypal.

I have often heard that they will not confirm to a cell, only landlines (although I've never had a problem with cells)
But yet they expect you to be siting by that landline 24/7 waiting for a call from them?

I received a phone call but I wasn't available to answer the phone...so far nothing has happened to my account. It's been 4 days since I received the call.

yea just got a call like 3 times in like 2-3 days and i was asleep after the 3rd call of not answering my account was limited. now they want invoices, tracking information, plus confirm location which is landline phone. sucks big time!

Does this happen mainly in America or all over the World? never had it before

It never happens to me, I never keep the same number for the account, the only time I usually get limited is after making a withdrawal but I usually get that fixed pretty easy.
