Looks like Paypal will be holding ALL payments

Got the email today.

reads like they are holding ALL money

Important message about receiving payments with PayPal

We're committed to providing a fast and secure payment service to you and your customers while keeping our prices competitive. We're also committed to clearly communicating changes to our policies and procedures. That's why we're writing to let you know about a change to your PayPal account.

From now on, money from the payments you receive will not be released until we know that the buyer has received and is happy with the item they bought from you.

The money from your payments will be temporarily held for up to 21 days. During this time the money will show as pending and you won't be able to access it.

We may be able to release the money sooner if:
We can confirm that the item was delivered
The item was an eBay item and your buyer leaves you positive feedback.
In deciding whether to apply payment holds, we review many factors including transaction activity, business type and customer disputes. Payment holds are often applied to new sellers who don't have a lot of transaction history, sellers in traditionally high risk industries (for example, travel or tickets), or sellers who've had a high number of claims filed against them.

For more information about this policy change, please read our latest funds availability policy

If you have any questions, please log in to your PayPal account and click on the Contact us link at the bottom of every page.

Anyone else get this and think the same?

No, this is not for ALL payments. If you read closely, they say there are factors that decided whether or not they will apply holds. It's based on your transaction history, you need to build trust with ebay and paypal.

What usually works for me is to get a 20 DSR rating which it's not that hard to get. By the time my account is unfrozen I have around 1,000 on 21 day holds though lol

No big news, get your feedback up and this wont bother you

I think the OP is talking about getting this email on an established account...ie having the 20 DSR's, 100 feedback etc.

I had this on an account 3 months old, 150 feedback, after receiving 2 negs, closely followed by a limited account and parting ways email.
