paypal asking personal information?
 

is this right on my not vcc paypal is this correct that they can ask for what i spend my money on?

Im highly in shock

i get up today and load pc and got a email saying my account is limited due to suspicous activity.

I click to follow steps to lift limitations

one of the questions is relating to some transactions i made to a online casino

this money came through my credit card via paypal

now they asking alsorts of questions where n why n what for i spent the money on

surely this isnt right surely they can see the XXX casino on the payments this to me is one step to far

anyone got any advice?

Paypal has a strict policy against gambling.
You can not use your paypal account to fund any gambling related activity !

you can pay on the sites with paypal so i dont think thats correct .. hmmm why would they let u pay that way.. wierd hmm time for some research

In the US a few years ago, there was a big push by the government to prohibit credit card issuers from allowing credit cards to be used to transfer funds for the purpose of gambling. There were also some court rulings that allowed people who hand gambled thousands of dollars to effectively charge back the transactions.

So, the Visa/Mastercard merchants association rules prohibit using their cards to transfer funds for the purpose of gambling.

I remember that PayPal was once used for this a LOT and then they stopped it. Apparently it applies to their accounts in the UK as well.

So this is probably why they are asking. But I can also see the day where they will find a $100 charge for a restaurant on your PayPal Visa and want to know what you ate, who you were with, and collect DNA samples from both of you.

BTW: I am on YOUR SIDE on this one. Personally, I think gambling is a huge waste of money, but I agree that you have the right to spend your hard earned $$$ however you want to.
