New Paypal Account for Single Transaction?
 

I had several Ebay accounts and a Paypal account for years.

Not too long ago when Ebay and Paypal started linking information no matter what, all of my accounts on Ebay were banned. I finally managed to get a new Ebay account started, which is only a few months old and I don't want to mess it up. I'm only buying, not selling. I still have a personal Paypal account, but I will not use it on Ebay because I know any account I use with it will be banned.

Now I want to buy a rare item from a seller who only takes Paypal - no exceptions. And they want a verified physical address. No other seller has this item and I can't find it anywhere else. The item would cost about $50.

My question is, would it be possible to set up a new Paypal account just for this single transaction? And what would be the best way of doing it without jeopardizing my fledgling Ebay account?

I still have my old paypal for sending money to my brother which has nothing to do with ebay, so far it has been OK for that.

Simpler still, without going to all that ballache, ask your brother to purchase it for you, or a friend...

I did it, and it was no problem. The account is still active even. I just made sure to never use this computer when accessing the ebay or paypal account linked to it. My main account is fine.

I used a gift card from Gift2Go, ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name and real physical address.
