Shipped to real address
 

Bought an item with a stealth account. I got the dude to ship to my home. Gave him a story on why I cant receive at PayPal address.... He used the PayPal shipping tool and entered my address. I never thought about the shipping tool until after the fact....

So my address is very likely tied to my account now isn't it?

Well - the address is IN their system and we all know how Paypal keeps info.

I would consider it as being tied. If your account ever went for manual review, you could be asked WTF is this address about? Simple system search and bang! other account...

It's not such a big thing really - no sense to knock yourself upside about this - hopefully won't come to that point.

Paypal has been sloppy many times...

Funny how they will let obvious stuff fall through the cracks and then drop the hammer on the slightest hint of wrong doing

Still a stupid mistake. I have bought from this account a few times but this is the first time someone used the shipping tool.

My only hope is the system doesn't scan manually entered shipping addresses. But to be honest, I don't see why it wouldn't

I had this happen a lot of times to me, always stealth account. 2 items in total got shipped wrong but the sellers received the items back and sent them to my "address". I am lucky that I can enter several street names and "around" names to my shipping address. But anyhow never ever did I have a problem with this though (and that was even before I changed IP!!)
but one thing did strike me funny when I had my "old" stealth account before they shut me down with over 500 FB: when I wanted to enter a shipping address it showed me ALL shipping addresses I ever had to choose from!!! I think it was because of the cookies and so on. I just started with new IP, deleted cookies and so on. but I really don't think they will figure it out. but never know what these weasels are doing right? I hope they don't figure it out.

Oh and I think when you go back into paypal I htink thats what you mean right? you can delete the address or not?

What the seller probably did was created the shipping label by clicking shipping label under pod's paypal payment transaction or multi order shipping....and manually typed in the addres pod gave him....so it isnt that pod added an address to his paypal......do wonder if it will now show as an option for "ship to" though when you purchase again? Also, I always wondered that when you purchase from a seller that has their own checkout system, if you put in an address that is linked to a suspended ebay/paypal account does paypal get that address if you pay via paypal even though it was given in the sellers own checkout system? I am guessing so....but I have been tempted so many times to just put in my physical address instead of PO Box!

But it was the seller that altered the shipping address when he shipped from his PayPal. I just wasn't thinking he would use PayPal to ship out. My guess is that somewhere in the system that address now would be tied to my account. But not sure if or when it will bite me

Before the shipping tool if seller shipped to another address PayPal would have no idea. But now with the bloody shipping tool it gets a bit scary to buy from a stealth account.

Maybe too late, but that's the last time I use that account to buy. I need to setup an account to buy only. Go ahead and shut that one down.
