Paypal wants SSN for Debit card but I had a bad account B4 and gave them my ssn then
 

So okay 5 years ago or so I had a paypal account it got limited they ask for SSN and I gave it to them, I believe they did un-limit the account but I still owed them like $50.. Left he accout alone and moved on..

Fast forward this year I did open a new Paypal with same name but diff address and state...


**Now they re asking if I want a Paypal debt card. The thing is they ask for th elast 4 digits of SSN I guess to run a check for the Paypal DEBIT card..


What should I do. Do you think it if I give them my last 4 digits then they will see I had a account back from 2003 that owes a balance or what not?

Or do you think since its been awhile that last account is probably out the system?******

I am pretty sure they will see that and link you to that old account.

Yeah.... The odds of two people sharing the same name AND having the same last 4 digits of an SSN are incredibly small.

DUHH. the point is whether they sill will check like that since my original account is so old..

I somehow don't see eBay purging their database of information on old accounts. A lot of the information may be ARCHIVED in some way, but I'm sure they have the essentials easily available.

Any time you apply for a credit or debit card, they will request your SSN.
